What are Clevis Adapters Used For?
A clevis adapter is similar to a shoulder adapter, except it has standoffs extending from both sides of the center bore. A clevis adapter is used to extend the shaft past the pulley’s bore. This provides space on both sides of the pulley. Using a clevis adapter promotes better distribution of weight.
